VERY SHAMEFUL!!!! NYAMIRA COUNTY LISTED AS THE HIGHEST SPENDER IN MCAS SITTING ALLOWANCES. Members of NYAMIRA County Assembly ( MCAs) are raking in billions in sitting allowances, according to a report by the Controller of Budget. The report indicates a huge discrepancy exists in sitting allowances in the Nyamira county assembly. It further shows that MCAs in Nyamira, county earned Sh237,037 per month as sitting allowances. This is according to the Progress Report on Revenue and Expenditure for County Governments for the period between July 2013 and March 2014. The report points out the sitting allowances for MCAs exceeded the annual budgetary allocation. Counties were allocated Sh3.2 billion for sitting allowances in their budget in the last final year. The report shows that between last July and March this year, MCAs have spent a total of Sh 1.8 billion, which translates to 56.9 per cent of the vote on sitting allowances. Top spender on sitting allowance is Nyamira County having utilized Sh 237,037. That translates to absorption rate of 127.2 per cent, says the report. Nyamira is thus under probe for overspending on sitting allowances. Other counties that recorded the highest expenditure on MCAs sitting allowances were Kakamega, Kirinyaga and Narok counties, whose absorption rate were 117.4 per cent, 110.9 per cent and 106.1 per cent respectively. Following the statistics from this report from the Progress Report on Revenue and Expenditure for County Governments, i demand for an IMMIDIATE EXPLANATION FROM Nyamira County Government led by this Lazy Governor JOHN NYAGARAMA and his MCAs who happens that majority of them are illiterate school leavers who doesnt have any base in making any constructive decisions as leaders.
