VERY disappointed in this museum. I use the quotation marks because the layout/design of the place is so poor, signage is either non-existent or useless because it s so huge and high in the room. There are exhibits with no description or explanation of what they are or why they are significant and a lot of the hands on stuff was broken because of all the kids banging and hanging on them and no staff people there to watch. They had vintage electric guitars hanging on the wall as a sound demo--guitars that were worth at least $3000 each--out there for kids to deface and bang on! What??? The place is LOUD and cacophonous and claustrophobic and a lot smaller than I thought it would be. And the bathrooms were out of toilet paper and there were no water fountains! The parking ramp was an accident waiting to happen with pallets and garbage linging hte walls and doors opening out into traffic lanes! What was anyone thinking when they designed this place? My husband and I found ourselves acting as educators at some exhibits because the visitors didnt have a clue what they were looking at and there was nothing there to tell them. Not very educational. It was basically a playground for kids to run rampant, break things, scream, run and knock things and people over. WASTE of money and time.
