VGN Update- Mega Man Topic: misc. News Did you know Mega Man was not supposed to be blue? Yes as reports of how NES games are made specifically made with a limited color palette. 8-bit emulates up to 16 base colors while the NES can read up to 708+ colors per screen frame. With that said the NES has more blue tints than any other color. So as the creater of Mega Man stated "The blue bomber isnt blue brecause we made him. The NES makes him look that way." Fact: Mega Mans original name was rainbow battle kid.(because Mega Man changes colors with his palette on the number weapon currently using.)
