VIA Sucka free mc, and Mayor Isin Timeout. ok, so i have a few beefs with the mc community that i want to share. firstly i am a recent mc dropout, so maybe my views are a bit biased, but these issues have been on my mind for a long time, partly pushed forward by the bullshit i see on sfmc. having recently left an mc, my view on brotherhood has had a major reality check. i had over a dozen " brothers" that swore to protect me at all cost, treat me like true family, and be there for me in any need. as i swore to them. upon leaving the club, within 90 days, i have two left. i didnt left "bad" and there were no incidents of bs, just a parting of ideology. yet somehow i am a stranger now. i always believed that brother hood is in your heart, not on your back, and it is forever concreted in me now. i see all these "clubs" starting, and ask my self why? it is an addiction, sao, biker boys, devils ride, too much tv. i long for the days when a group of guys got out and rode. formed bonds between brothers with blood sweat and tears. not because you went to the store and bought matching t shirts. i had a long talk with a friend of mine recently whom i respect very much, yet he had been swept up in the pop up craze, he NEEDED to start a club, was all about it. and i asked him why, he stated all the generic reasons, brother hood , respect, family, he wanted to belong to something greater than himself. but when i asked him what matching clothes had to do with any of that, the talk got quiet. there is a misconception running rampant in the motorcycle world that having a club means something. that it makes you a man somehow. a club isnt worth jack shit if it isnt formed around family. my advice to the man was to get his group together. and ride, ride everywhere you were going to, bike nights, rallies, parties, strip joints, wherever you had planned when you sat around jerking each other off about how cool it will be.. but do it without rags. do it for a couple years, be known, be seen, earn your respect, and after a couple years, if your still tight, still riding, and still brothers,, then wearing matching rags is just a formality, not the focus. i hope listened, thanks for the spot to rant,, much respect
