VICTORY! In another stunning win for music makers and music lovers, 90.3 AMP Radio in Calgary has announced they are abandoning the QuickHitz format they had adopted only three weeks ago. The format edits songs (which is a nice way of saying it cuts them in half) with the aim of being able to play more half-songs per hour. Courageously, Canadian music legend Jann Arden (Jann Arden Official) stood up and spoke out against the format, which in turn galvanized the support of other artists who didnt want her to stand alone. In another brave turn, 90.3 AMP heard the criticism and acted: theyve done whats right, not only for the artists they play, but for the people who listen to their station as well. Its a beautiful win-win, for all. Respectful outcry is powerful, and even more so when artists stick together and have each others backs. I salute Ms. Arden for her courage, and I congratulate 90.3 AMP in turn, for theirs. Onward! #IRespectMusic
