VIDEO: Beautiful new trailer for 2013 Light Work AIR Karolina Karlics new project RUBBERLANDS My interest in making work in Brazil started with my research on Henry Ford’s rubber plantations in the Amazon rainforest. When I came across a particular set of photographs found in the archives, they became my point of inspiration. The photographs picture employees and family members (in what resembles a family photo album) to be sent from Michigan and into the jungle - assigned to oversee the ambitious implementation of U.S. rubber production in Brazil.
