VIDEO: Researchers at the University of Michigan have developed a breathalyzer test to help protect consumers against counterfeit medicines. The way the technology works is that when a person breathes on a plastic film covering a medicine package label, small images appear, indicating that the medicine is legitimate. The researchers believe that the proprietary nanotechnology used to form the images is prohibitively difficult to replicate.
