VIETNAM PM RECEIVES CEREMONIAL RECEPTION AT PRESIDENTIAL PALACE ON HIS INDIA VISIT ----------------------------------------------- On his two-day visit to India to enhance bilateral and regional ties, Vietnams Prime Minister, Nguyen Tan Dung, receives a ceremonial reception hosted by his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi. He was received by Modi and a retinue of Indian officials after which he inspected a ceremonial Guard of Honour. Dungs visit to India comes just a month after Indias President, Pranab Mukherjee, travelled to his country. He began his two-day visit to the country in the holy Buddhist town of Gaya in Bihar, first visiting the Mahabodi Temple believed to be the site of Lord Buddhas enlightenment. The strengthening of ties between the two countries, also in defence, comes as both are embroiled in territorial disputes with China. He is due to hold talks with Modi, President Pranab Mukherjee, Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj and other leaders during the visit.
