VIOLENT, DEADLY RACISM: What do we want Dead Cops When do we wantem Now. That is the chant that was echoed across the nation from protestors after 2 innocent white police officers where slain in NYC. The protestors speaking of Michael Brown and Eric Gardner are saying “There is no respect for the humanity and the dignity for black life in this country,” The overall allegation is that white police officers are indiscriminately targeting black people. However, actual crime stats tell a different story. The number of blacks that were killed by police via gunfire last year was 123. The number of whites that were killed by gunfire was 326. “There are 43 million-plus black Americans. 123 is 1/300th of 1 %. Death is always tragic. What we do see here is a low crime statistic - but what we do not see is an epidemic. Statistics and facts do not say there is a pattern.“ Especially when 3 times as many whites are shot by police than blacks. And still no one is holding anyone in account for bad behavior, cursing at police, pushing police, punching police or the big one resisting arrest. The newsworthy answer coming from protestors is to destroy innocent small businesses, stop other innocent business owners from making a living, shut down malls, stop commerce in unrelated businesss in order to disrupt white communities. Or executing police officers just because they are white is also an extreme form of racial profiling. But black, brown and white America elected a black president twice. We thought this huge divide was behind us. Now what happens when the white cops in America start thier OWN push back protest ? And you know this is coming when Caucasian police officers are the target of white hate speech and the President does not intervene. Pressured by thier wives and children to preserve thier lives they will simply start resigning by the 10s of 1,000s. What will our streets look like then with 80% less police ? Does anyone really believe these protesters will come to protect and help you or will the protesters come to loot and destroy you ? Its already happening. White police officers are loosing thier heart to serve. Since the 2 innocent officers where slain, traffic violations and summonses have dropped off 94%. Arrests for Public disturbances, drunkenness and drug busts are down 84%. That does not mean crime is down. Crime is up, but the white Police Officers are not willing to extend themselves and be the target of a national hate campaign just for doing thier jobs. This is a huge problem. Im looking for other viewpoints from all races to weigh in on this one. What are the facts that you see ? As we go into 2015 help us fill in the rest of the story.
