VIRTUES OF JUMAH #1 To walk to the Masjid if possible for every step is a reward of years Nafl fast..(Tirmidhi) #2 It was narrated that Ibn Umar(R.A) said, the messenger of Allah (S.A.W) said, whoever reads Surah Kahf on the day of Jummah, a light will shine on him from beneath his feet to the clouds of the sky,which will shine for him on the day of resurrection, and he will be forgiven his sins(between 2 fridays). #3 Sayyidina Salman Farsi(R.A) has narrated that the messenger of Allah(S.A.W), the one who takes a bath on friday,attains the purity that was possible for him,applies oil and lawful perfume available at home( for Male only,female are not allowed to apply perfume outside their home as it is a source of fitnah),heads towards the Masjid,offers Salat,does not cause obstruction between two people and stays quiet during the Imams sermon(khutbah) by listening attentively,his sins committed between this Friday and the previous will be forgiven..(Sahih Bukhari,vol.1,pp306 Hadith 883). #4 Abu Hurayrah(R.A) reported that the Prophet(S.A.W) said, whoever recites this durood 80 times immediately after salat Asr on friday before standing up from his/her place of Prayer,Allah will forgive his/her sins of 80 years and grant him/her the reward equivalent to 80 years of worship!
