VISITOR CONTROL CENTER UPDATE Beginning Tuesday, Jan. 20, visitors and contractors can drop off their completed requests for unescorted access to Fort Sill at the Visitor Control Center (VCC), T6701 (temporary building) Sheridan Road daily 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The staff is finalizing a revamped appeals form for those that may be declined a pass, and it will be available on the Fort Sill Web site at sill-army.mil Thursday, Jan. 22, The VCC will be accepting completed FS117 forms, the form for appealing decisions to bar unescorted access, that day. The staff projects the appeal process will take two weeks. When the process is finished, the staff will notify those individuals of the result of the appeal. At this time, the staff is waiting for Army-level approval of our method for online submissions (while protecting personal information). Further instructions will be provided if/when we receive the go-ahead. Because the access request and appeals forms contain personally identifying information, you are urged to deliver the completed forms to the VCC by hand or via mail only. Do not email the form to Fort Sill. Because the forms contain PII, those emails cannot be opened without the risk of unintended disclosure of that critical information. Do not give the form to a third party to deliver for you. The mail address is: Visitor Control Center T6701 Sheridan Road Fort Sill, OK 73053 Because of continuing work on the VCC and facilities, the VCC is only open on a limited basis. Visitors FS118a forms are not yet being processed. Though the VCC staff will accept those Fort Sill Forms 118a, they will not yet begin processing those forms and conducting the background checks. At this time, we project that the VCC will open to process visitors access requests and 24/7 operations Feb. 9.
