VITAMINS FOR THE MIND by Ron Reynolds #3406 (Wednesday, October 23, 2013) Succeeding By Ourselves There are countless numbers of people who have started their own business; most of those business start-ups fail within the first two years. But even among those that succeed, the end result is that the entrepreneur who started the successful business doesn’t ‘own’ the business, it’s the business that owns them. Ask most business owners who have been around for awhile and many will tell you that their success requires 12 hour days and constant attention to all the administrative details that a modern business requires. The owner of the business can hire some help, but finding someone to ‘help’ run the business isn’t an easy task; most employees want to work a limited number of hours and then go home, so it’s rare for the owner to find someone who will eagerly bring the same level of attention to detail, customer service and ‘pride of ownership’ as does the ‘owner.’ Your business in AdvoCare is remarkably different – or should be. With the marketing structure used here, you can build a team of people, and not just a group of employees; those people on your team can be part-time and they can live across the street, across town, on the other side of the county, on the other side of the state, or the other side of the continent. There’s no limit on how many people you can have on your team, and each time member of your team makes a sale of the products, you earn a commission that’s paid to you by the company. And, as you go about looking for those team members, each one you find doesn’t have to make any significant amount of investment; as we often say at AdvoCare, “We don’t go out looking for people with lots of investment money, we look for people with dreams, with ambition, and who are looking for a reasonable and ethical source where they can show what they can do. Now – think about that! Whereas a business ‘owner’ has to carry most of the load of ‘running the store’ by being there during most of the business hours, being responsible for the sales, the advertising and for providing customer service, in AdvoCare, the leader of each team can time into the time, the contacts, the imagination and creativity, and the talent of other people. It’s a concept wherein there many ‘companies’ within a company – all playing by the same rules, all with the same access to or involvement in the same compensation plan, and each one supporting and cooperating with every other one for the benefit of all. Think of it; you can ‘open a new office’ for your business wherever you know people, and while those on your team in each of those cities are earning a profit, you receive a percentage of the sales profits as well. Seldom do we succeed by ourselves! We become a powerful force when each of us understands how powerful all of us are, and when all of us come to understand just how valuable each of us really is. And, at AdvoCare, even the corporate staff exists to serve the Distributor team, and even there, it can be said that – “seldom do so few do so much for so many. Why not take a serious look, and if you’re already involved, why not make the decision to play a more serious role?
