VK Singh visits Wanigund, condoles death of constable Parvaiz, assured departmental assistance SRINAGAR, AUGUST 01: To convey his deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family of late Constable Parvaiz Ahmed Wani, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Security J&K, Mr. V. K. Singh, today visited his residence at Wanigund, Qaimoh in District Kulgam. He was accompanied by S.P Kulgam, Mr. Mohammad Shafi and Commandant JKAP 11th Battalion, Mr. Fayaz Ahmed. MLC, Mr. Abdul Majeed Bhat was also present at the condolence meeting. Mr. V. K. Singh, while condoling the death of late constable, expressed his sympathies saying that Parvaiz Ahmed laid down his precious life while performing professional duties to save the life of others. He said that his martyrdom for noble cause would be remembered for ever in the history of Jammu and Kashmir Police. The ADGP assured the bereaved family that the whole police organization is at their back at this time of grief and every assistance would be provided to them by the department. He directed the officers to process and finalize the relief case of late constable soon after the required formalities are completed so that immediate succour is provided to the family. He also assured that compassionate appointment of the brother of late constable would be taken up with the government vigorously so that a bread winner is provided to them. Pertinently the constable along with another policeman was martyred in a militant attack on Dr. S. Jalal at Pampore recently
