VMware hiring : SMTS – Senior Member Technical Staff – Networking , Ecosystem Engineering Team We are looking for a highly motivated professional to join the VMware’s Ecosystem Engineering team that is responsible for developing and delivering certification suites for VMware’s networking partners. Responsibilities: - Work with VMware’s internal stakeholders to design certification requirements for various Networking technologies like SR-IOV, VXLAN gateways and 1/10/40/100 GBE. - Work with key stakeholders in VMware core R&D to develop and design tests at the inception of a new technology such that these tests can be consumed for the certification without any significant changes - Work closely with partners when they are running certifications to understand their configuration and to adapt the certification test suite to their specific configuration and troubleshoot issues seen during certifications - Provide technical guidance to developers on the global team who will be developing certifications. Requirements - Master’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science. A Bachelor’s degree will be considered for applicants with relevant experience - At least 8 years of experience in Networking area with systems level development or testing in a virtual environment. - Experience using VMware vSphere products and VMware’s networking technologies is required. VCP 5 (VMware Certification Professional) will be preferred - L2/L3 layer networking experience and integration experience, and following technologies at L3: Firewalls, Load balancers, WAN optimizers - Working knowledge of the following operating systems: Windows, Linux (Red Hat, SuSe ), Solaris X86 is required - Willingness to use different programming languages to address specific product needs (C, Java, C++, Perl, Python, C#, Flex, Javascript , Batch Scripting, etc.) - Past experience working with Partners a strong plus - Ability to work independently under aggressive timelines and date-driven schedule Interested please email me..
