VO The Lao government and various private companies will join forces to host the Lao Techmart-2014 for the first time INTRO: The Lao government and various private companies will join forces to host the Lao Techmart-2014 for the first time, with the trade fair scheduled to take place at Lao ITECC from December 11-15. STORY: According to the Minister of Science and Technology, Prof. Dr Boviengkham Vongdara, the exhibition will cover various technologies including bio-technology and agricultural technology, ICT, energy and new materials. Also featuring will be engineering technology, medical technology, transportation technology, food processing and beverage technology, electronics and electrical appliance technology. The fair will feature about 350 booths, including those from the relevant ministries, sectors, research institutes, universities, manufacturers and service providers. The event will allow the concerned ministries, research institutes, universities, academics and private businesses to showcase their innovations and new technologies and make the general public more aware of their capabilities.
