VOLUP SIZE ALERT! Early 1950s Illusion A-Line Dress in Novelty Floral Print Silk! Made by Grabois of New York and crafted in luminous black silk printed with artistic flowers in shades of deep blue, a curve flattering, cap sleeve A-line shape with a wide V shaped mesh illusion neckline, trimmed in black velvet and accented with cutout floral appliqués and a bow at the center! Fully lined in black silk voile, back metal zip closure with hook and eye closures at the illusion back. In good vintage condition, the silk is strong and has no holes, stains, tears or fading, but there are a few notable flaws which are reflected in the price: there is som fraying and seam tearing to the black mesh along the seams at the top of the shoulder (this could be repaired by slightly rolling the seam and restitching it), the internal silk voile slip that lines th skirt has a few tears (not visible when the dress is worn, but worth noting), one of the appliqués at th neckline needs a bit of restitching to attach it properly.
