VOTE FOR OUR COMMUNITY GARDEN PROJECT BSL, together with Vic Uni, want to start a community garden for refugees and asylum seekers in Footscray. It’s called the Footscray FOODpath because it’s about creating a pathway to food security, health and nutrition, skill development, and social inclusion. There is currently no community garden in Footscray. The Footscray FOODpath is located at our African Australian Community Centre at 30a Pickett St, Footscray. It is targeted at African refugees and asylum seekers, but is open to people of any background. We currently have raised garden beds, but need funding for other essential materials and equipment such as soil, plants and tools.
