VOTE FOR THE ULMLS IN THE STUDENT AWARDS 2014 https://surveymonkey/s/StudentAwards2014-StudentGroupNominations This year has seen yet another successful year for the University of Leicester Modern Languages Society: we have hosted countless fun socials for you all including two academic film socials, two epic bar crawls, a wonderful Christmas Soirée, two joint socials with the Language Exchange Society and the History Society, a pub quiz, two successful charity events, a victorious netball team, a second hand book sale so you didnt have to fork out for new books/could receive money back from your old books, a parent scheme encouraging integration between years and not to mention whisking you away on a weekend trip to Paris, all of which have helped us to raise substantial money for charity and more for us to put back into our society ready for you to have a great time next year as well! And whats that? There is still more to come?!! This is firstly all thanks to an outstanding committee whose organisation and commitment help to ensure that the society runs smoothly and all events are organised to perfection. It is also secondly down to you guys. The success of a society varies year to year depending on how willing the new students are to get involved, and boy have you wanted to get involved?! So we want to also want to thank you, our lovely members, for making our society an enjoyable one to be working with and for. If you have enjoyed this year with us as much as we have then please take the time to vote for our society in this years University of Leicester Student Awards. Last year we were awarded Academic Student Group of the Year which was great, but this year we want to go one better:.... Best Student Group of the Year and we can only do that with your votes. The survey only takes five minutes to complete (even shorter if you dont want to vote for groups that arent relevant to you) and the deadline is Friday 28th March. When voting please bear in mind our variety and number of socials, the dedication of our committee, our successful charity events and our parent scheme which have really helped our society to thrive above others.
