VOTE MACHINE CONCERNS :: Confidence in Electronic Voting systems is falling in general. One group from Princeton, with simple hacking tools, installed a computer program on a voting machine in only seven minutes… that flipped votes for one candidate and gave them to another. Reports of vote flipping has already surface in a number of states Defenders of electronic voting systems say election-altering hack that is traceable or even leaves evidence it was hacked is virtually impossible; all electronic voting machines are tested and certified., “you would have to commit the perfect crime.” So two researchers instaled Pac-Man onto a touch-screen voting machine, leaving no detectable traces of their presence.
