VOTED NUMBER 2 ALL TIME WELSH OPENSIDE FLANKER..... 2: Terry Cobner (Pontypool): While coach Ray Prosser was Pooler’s commander in chief of their golden period in the 70s, Cobner was his trusted on-field general. A real tough cookie and a man not to be messed with. Earned huge respect from the All Blacks during the 1977 Lions tour when he effectively acted as forwards coach while packing down on the flank. Captained Pooler for 10 consecutive seasons from 1970 to 1979 before going onto a successful career with the WRU as their director of rugby.
