VOTERS REGISTRATION EXPERIENCE Ive been at the voters registration centre here in Ejigbo, Lagos in order to register and can tell you that the registration centre was jam-packed. To the best of my knowledge coupled with what I saw at the Ejigbo Primary School premises which was the centre used for the registration of the people of Ejigbo, only two laptops were made available. Though I dont know the population data of Ejigbo as a whole but providing two laptops for the Ejigbo community for voters registration is simply a joke by the authorities. What happened to the polling unit method adopted during the last voters registration in 2011? Is this country actually progressing or retrogressing? It is painful that despite the abundance of all we have in this country, a simple voters registration exercise has to be this hectic when there are brains and highly competent professionals who can get this done professionally in record time. I just hope that this country doesnt become a shadow of greatness.
