(VOV) – Vietnam attaches great importance to developing bilateral relations with the Republic of Korea (RoK) and wants to elevate those relations for mutual benefit and prosperity of both nations. Educators learn about RoK culture Vietnam attends 4th Mekong-RoK ministerial meeting Vietnam, RoK hold defence policy dialogue Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh made the statement at talks with Korean Foreign Minister Yun Byung in Seoul on July 29 on the sidelines of the fourth Mekong-the Republic of Korea (RoK) Foreign Ministers’ Meeting. The two sides expressed their delight with the strong development of bilateral relations over the past 22 years, especially since the two countries lifted ties to that of a strategic partnership in October 2009. They discussed issues of mutual concern and measures to accelerate the implementation of signed agreements, including exchanging visits and boosting investment and trade cooperation. They also agreed to closely coordinate at multilateral forums for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world. Minh proposed the RoK work closely together with Vietnam to carry out measures to prevent illegal Vietnamese guest workers from staying in the country and to sign a common memorandum of understanding on granting work permits to foreign workers. On the occasion, Minh extended an invitation to his counterpart to visit Vietnam.
