VROOM-VROOM!! Tanner and I got home with minutes to spare for Trick-r-Treating last night from Wolf Ridge. Wow!-What an Awesome experience! I hope I get the same opportunity to share it with Ava and Chase when they hit 5th grade. The kids had a blast out collecting their bag full of candy, while Chaser lit up the street West Coast Chopper style! Chase and the ladies did great while we were gone. He had a good week at school with more alert times than the week before. They made a trip down to Mayo on Wednesday for a meeting to discuss surgery on his wrists and arms. The Dr felt he was too young for the surgical procedure. After discussing the potential risks involved with possible permanent damage to his nerves, we all agreed that it wasnt the best solution at this time. Fortunately they think that Botox could help him out. But this time, instead of injecting it in general areas, they are planning to specifically target 2 of the 3 nerves in his biceps to deaden them, hopefully allowing him to extend his arm out further and straighten it. The Goal is to use therapy and with continued improvement , we will continue to do this every three months, hopefully getting his arms back to a completely functional state- with no surgery needed! Chasers Guns may be sore for a few days, but it is going to make him more comfortable in the long run. We are waiting on the Mayo team to schedule this asap. Today our little lady turns 9- so her and mom are out for some pampering at the salon, and this afternoon we are off with Ava and some of her buddies to celebrate her day rollerskating..... Chaser doesnt have to worry about renting skates, hes got four wheels built into his chair! Have a great week. God is Good!
