VRi’s Steven Brown shot this spectacular aerial footage at the United Healthcare’s Pro-Cycling Team 2014 Riding Camp in Scottsdale AZ. The footage was captured using a GOPRO camera mounted on a small, remote-controlled DJI Phantom quad-copter. Stevens setup includes a tiny video transmitter, so the footage can be monitored from the ground as its being shot. The Phantoms flight controller can cover a range of 2 miles with an operational ceiling of 400 feet. Its a one or two-person operation (a pilot and a camera operator), and it can be safely used in any environment where theres sufficient flying space - including indoors.
