Vacancy Area: Team Leader If you have a primary degree in a fisheries science, marine science, applied mathematics, statistics resource assessment, fisheries conservation and management or a related field with a minimum of three years relevant work then this position may be for you. The Team Lead (T.L.) will be an integral part of the Fisheries Ecosystem Advisory Service (FEAS) that will assist with service delivery to our main client DAFM (Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine). The job will be focused on providing fisheries modelling and simulations support for Regional Fisheries Management Plans; Mixed Fisheries Plans and Regional Discard Plans. The T.L. will provide statistical support for staff in relation to analyses of data for peer reviewed publications as well as develop assessment methods for data limited stocks particularly monk and megrim in ICES Sub Areas VI and VII. The post will deliver part of Irelands obligations under the Data Collection Framework programme funded under the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF 2014 to 2020). To be considered for this temporary opportunity, in addition to the minimum educational and work experience requirements, you will be an experienced user of resource assessment methods and models in fisheries along with experience of providing modelling and simulation support for projects.
