Vacancy: MAINTENANCE PLANNER AND AIRCRAFT CLEANER . VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT Malawian Airlines Limited popularly referred to as “national airline” is a registered partnership company with shareholding between Malawi Government, Malawian Business Individuals/companies and Ethiopian Airlines respectively. The airlines started its flights on 31st January 2014 and services both domestic and regional routes. To keep our promise and in line with our growth strategy, the airline intends to recruit; 1. MAINTENANCE PLANNER Under the direct supervision of the Maintenance and Engineering Manager, the person will be responsible for regulating aircraft cycles and flight hours, forecasting aircraft checks, planning tools, parts and manpower requirement for scheduled tasks, keeping aircraft records and developing reliability reports. QUALIFICATIONS At least 25 years of age at the time of writing the application letter but must not be above 45 years old. Holder of Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) with strong credits in English, Mathematics. Advanced City and Guild Diploma in mechanical and or electrical Engineering. Minimum of 5 years work experience is desirable. Those with degree in relevant field and experience in maintenance planning, method writing in Maintenance Engineering and computer knowledge will have added advantage. OTHER ATTRIBUTES Ability to write detailed repair report Able to develop and deliver a clear and concise presentation when required Committed to safety and teamwork Highly motivated Ability to learn and apply maintenance best practices Ability to organize and plan tasks Self directing – Able to work towards specific goals and objectives with limited daily oversight. Successful candidates will undergo an intensive on-the-job training. 2. AIRCRAFT CLEANER The person will be responsible for the overall cleanliness of the airplane with emphasis to airframe and engine areas. Will be also responsible for greasing/cleaning and maintaining ground equipments and tools and assist Engineers while carrying their duties. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum 5 years work experience as Maintenance Cleaner. Those with MSCE will have added advantage. Both positions above are tenable at Kamuzu International Airport in Lilongwe.
