Vacated Victory #30 Aug. 31, 2002: 27-24 over UCF ESPN and 103,029 faithful showed up at Beaver Stadium for a Noon kickoff to the 2002 season. Penn State running back Larry Johnson carried 18 times for 92 yards, Bryant Johnson caught three passes for 90 yards, and Zack Mills completed 13 of 20 for 194 yards and two touchdowns as Penn State scored 17 unanswered points in the second half to pull away from UCF. The Nittany Lions were able to withstand two late touchdowns by the Golden Knights to preserve the win in front of 103,029 at Beaver Stadium. The NCAA says this game never happened.
