Behind the outstanding play of both units, Penn State went up 21-0 at halftime and cruised to a convincing 35-14 win in the last game of the year before a Senior Day crowd of 109,865 at sunny Beaver Stadium. ABC televised the 3:30 game nationally. Happy Valley also celebrated being named The Greatest Show in College Sports while the Blue Band won the 2005 Sudler Trophy as the best collegiate marching band.
