Vacation Bible School is Coming! And, more than ever, it is safe to say that The Circus is Coming! Gods Circus will be our 2014 VBS theme, the dates will be July 14-18 with our Three Ring Worship on Sunday, July 20, and we will have Elephants and Clowns and Elephants and Lion Tamers and Elephants and Acrobats and Elephants! Why am I telling you about this in January when we are still six months away from the Greatest Show in Heaven? Because I will be going off for my annual study leave to visit with Mortimer, the slightly odd and clearly unstable VBS guru, in a week or so. Together we will develop the foundational plans for this Summer Extravaganza of music and crafts and laughter and faith. Mortimer always needs a little prodding, so I want to take him some of your ideas for our daily themes - Daniel in the Lions Den is a sure bet - as well as songs or crafts or sanctuary decorations. Please take some time this week to email me the ideas that will, by mid-July, become the presence of God in the lives of our children of all ages!
