Vakatalesau set for Amicale transfer One of Fijis most feared strikers, Osea Vakatalesau looks all set to boost Vanuatus Amicale Football Club soon. The 28-year-old Wailotua native from Wainibuka, Tailevu has negotiated a deal with the OFC Champions League runners up who also have three other Fijian players in the form of Esava Naqeleca, Ilaitia Tuilau and Sydney based Shivan Swamy. Fiji Football Association chief executive Bob Kumar has confirmed receiving an ITC application for Vakatalesau from Amicale. Yes, Amicale has applied for his ITC through Vanuatu Football and we will grant the release once his district, Ba gives him the clearance to leave, Kumar told FijiLive. Ba FA president Rishi Kumar said they are aware of the negotiations and will not stop Vakatalesau from pursuing his career further. He said while losing the star marksman will be a setback for them, there are other upcoming young strikers in their squad to replace him. His departure will see the Men In Black lose three key strikers this season. Abbu Zahid and Maciu Dunadamu left the country last month to join clubs in New Zealand. Vakatalesau has represented PNGs Hekari United at the FIFA Club World Cup and has made a total of 15 appearances for senior mens national team. He has scored 12 goals for Fiji and was the joint top goalscorer of the 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign along with Burkina Faso striker Moumouni Dagano. Meanwhile, Amicale will be making a tour of Fiji next week and will play three matches in the Southern Division. They are scheduled to play Suva on July 24th and 31st and will face Rewa on the 29th.
