Valerie Knickle: Thanks for the love! Looking for the positive in each moment. Whether its finding water, receiving help, or helping someone out. Im staying away from the negativity, being prepared, and on guard for each moment. I saw many military trucks and CFE power corporation from Mazatlan coming to fix the lines today. Happy that help has arrived and more is on the way. An estimated two weeks until we have electricity again. I pray running water comes before that. Ive found a place to shower each day so far (the last two in a bucket). I charged my phone and lines came back up tonight.... Im meeting neighbors and we are sticking together. No car, no running water, no electricity, no cash, but safe, loved, and fed. Its like a movie walking down town, so surreal. Ive seen a lot if horrific things over the last several days, but also a generous, helpful, and loving side of people. Theres a general feeling of solidarity despite the fear, panic, chaos and looting. Thanks Adan for charging my phone, and helping me create a blockade in my home where the glass used to be. Thanks Facebook family for thinking of me and sending support. Thanks Heather & Bill for the party grill so I could cook the last of my frozen food to share with our neighborhood watchmen who are keeping bandits out all night. And thank you to everyone who has reached out and is keeping our Cabo family on your radar. Even in this situation, I feel so fortunate. Hug someone you love. One more storm to go, Im ready. Who eats granola bars and tuna for the next two weeks? I could totally do Survivor now. Pshhh. Easily... . Viva Mexico!
