Values Into Action Scotland has developed and are piloting a SQA unit H1SX34 Systematic Instruction Facilitation For Everyday Living. This unit has been developed as a qualification for those who support people with additional needs to be more independent at work at home and in the community. This could include: support workers, classroom assistants, personal assistants and supported employment staff. it will help you to develop and understand the values and principles which underpin effective facilitation to help people achieve their goals and encourages reflective practice. Candidates will need to have good communication and interpersonal skills and it would benefit candidates to have some experience of supporting people with additional support needs. The unit comprises 3 outcomes and stands at HNU SCQF level 7. The allocated time is approximately 40 hours which includes 4 days of Systematic Instruction Training delivered by Values Into Action Scotland. Candidates who can already show certificate of completion of Systematic Instruction can also undertake the unit.
