Values & the Use of Words (note the photos shimmer - as if disappearing) (reviewing & redefining words, thoughts, ideas in Mercury retro) Friday - Venus’s Day – January 22, 2015 – Venus = Values. Practical Application in our Ashramic Esoteric College - Mercury retrograde – Reviewing, rethinking our language. Mercury – communication, language, thoughts, ideas, etc. Aquarius Sun – calling humanity to have Right Values, Virtues & Right Education. However, as this is the task of the NGWS, we first must have Virtues, understand the word “Values”, & understand what is Right Education for humanity at this time. V/c Pisces Moon (12th house) – Pisces - Saving Humanity through Right Education = Values & Virtues. However, we must be educated (rightly) first. Pisces Moon – devoted to the Path of Implementing the Divine Plan on Earth (under the direction of Hierarchy), of “closing the door where evil dwells,” & of Restoring the Mysteries on Earth. Values/Virtues Each day we develop virtues. Virtue - Greek - moral excellence - vir·tue/ˈvərCHo͞o/, noun = 1. behavior showing high moral standards. 2. (in traditional Christian angelology) the seventh highest order of the ninefold celestial hierarchy. We develop virtues through the “valuing” of our group work & meditations. And the creation of daily rhythms based on Soul direction. Each day we come to the knowledge of our value. Value Value not as a commodity. But value as being useful to others. Sharing spiritual usefulness that includes & united the whole. Goodwill. Defining Value A Mantram first to guide us – “Let reality govern our every thought & Truth be the Master of our lives.” Let us look at the word “value”. At present the word “value” is used solely in our culture as “commodity.” Let us move away from the present use of the word “value” as commodity, as ‘worth something,” monetary exchange, monetary worth. That is the way corporations, the media & the Forces of Materialism think & use the word. It is a way of manipulating humanity. So that humanity begins to consider itself as “a commodity” too. Only as commodity (financial usefulness). Humanity’s ‘value’ being for corporations/bankers - what it can buy and sell. The words used today, especially the word “Value” is being used for corporate/banking compliance. Value as only commodity is a corruption of the word “value.” A corruption of Venus. We are to move away from using the word “value” in the comodified sense, which the corporations/banks are seeking to do. Value is a Taurus, Libra, Venus word. It’s also a Capricorn word. Not money, but spiritual usefulness, a high standard, a quality (Ray 2). Here are the Definitions of Value… As money – commodity 1. a fair return or equivalent in goods, services, or money for something exchanged 2. the monetary worth of something : market price Value (other definitions/applications) 3. assessing a fair return or equivalent in goods, services, or money for something exchanged – : the monetary worth of something: market price 4. relative worth, utility, or importance 5. a numerical quantity that is assigned or is determined by calculation or measurement 6. the relative duration of a musical note 7. relative lightness or darkness of a color : luminosity 8. the relation of one part in a picture to another with respect to lightness and darkness 9. something (as a principle or quality) intrinsically valuable or desirable
