Van Damme Hoppy - The (Hop) Muscles From Brussels! The first - TopicsExpress

Van Damme Hoppy - The (Hop) Muscles From Brussels! The first widely distributed beer in the Belgian IPA style, Urthels Hop-It, is a strong Belgian golden ale brewed with additional hops to give it the upfront aroma and bitterness of an India Pale Ale. In the years since the introduction of Hop-It, the style has expanded to include many unique beers. In the case of American craft brewers, the style most frequently indicates a standard IPA grain bill brewed with American aroma & flavor hops then fermented with a Belgian-derived yeast of varying character. Clandestines Van Damme Hoppy hews to the American method: brewed with the grain bill of a typical IPA and generously hopped with Amarillo & Columbus, then fermented with Belgian yeasts (Yes yeasts, A is on now, B to follow!). The result is an American IPA that adds the character of a Belgian ale with peppery spice, banana & floral esters, and a hoppy bitterness with aromas of Orange peel and dank Pine. Vital Stats 1.062 OG / 60 IBU / 7% ABV
