Van Persie had just 13 touches in the entire game against Arsenal before he got substituted. 3 of those were from corners. He had 0 shots. And just attempted just two passes inside Arsenals half. So every time you criticise Rooney and say hes rubbish and not worth the money he earns and hes very ineffective and yadayadayada and that van Persie is so much better, remember which of the two gives his heart out for his team and plays every game to the best he can, and remember that van Persie earns 250k a week too. Which is just 50k less than what Rooney earns. So please shut up. This is not intended as a criticism of van Persie. In a way it might be, but this is directed more at deluded fans who keep slating Rooney even when he plays well yet continue to praise van Persie for practically doing nothing. I love van Persie to be very frank. But some times, the way the fans praise him even when hes virtually invisible in a match, its ridiculous. ~Rey
