VanGogh Update: from Dr. Jennifer Johnson It is hard to believe - TopicsExpress

VanGogh Update: from Dr. Jennifer Johnson It is hard to believe that it was only a year ago - on October 16, 2014, this little baby came into our lives with such a horrible beginning. Van continues to grow into a perfect pet and gentleman. He loves everyone he meets, and although he sometimes exhausts his human family because of his exceptional energy and strength, he is starting to be a model canine citizen. Our hope is that Van Gogh continues to be a spokes-dog to spread the word about animal abuse and also spread joy to abused or bullied young people everywhere. He is a survivor and we are proud to call him our furry son. Van has not had any long-term effects from his traumatic ear flap amputation and his head shyness and referred neuropathic pain has resolved. He weighs in at 42lbs and is all muscle. He loves to go bike riding and running. The great folks at The Barker Lounge - Folsom can attest to his boundless energy and we cannot thank them enough for their training, patience and love. Van continues his obedience training with Miss Anne and will work towards Canine Good Citizen certification in 2015 and Therapy Dog Certification. Thank you to everyone for their thoughts and prayers this past year regarding VanGogh and spreading the word about animal abuse in Delaware County. Together, we can continue to make a difference! xo, Dr Jen
