Vanakkam Onex Network is launching a new program once in a month and our first program will be on the third week of June. We will be doing an emission on our cultural identities. The emission will be called “Recherche Nu Culture” which will be presented by Elvissen Adaken le Mauricien and the Miss Tamil Mauritius 2014, Cindy Perarasi Coonjamalay, who is also a Tamil Teacher. On each episode we will be going in a specific town or village to meet an old person who has lived and knows a lot about our ancient traditions and ways of living which has disappeared today. We would also visit small associations in different parts of Mauritius just to know more about their works, tamil school and their contribution to our community,Dont forget when an old man pass away they said that a big library goes along..!! The video shooting will last approximately 24 minutes. The idea behind this program is to educate youngsters on how our ancestors were living before. We would also like to value everything which was once important in our community but which has unfortunately disappeared while living in a modern society. On that day we will be accompanied by 25 youngsters and the video shooting will be broadcast via you tube, facebook and on different website.
