Vancouver, British Columbia, August 20, 2014 Cuauhtemoc Tall Ship Visits Vancouver The Consulate General of Mexico is proud to inform that Mexican Tall Ship “Cuauhtemoc” will be moored at Burrard Dry Dock Pier, Wallace Mews Road, North Vancouver on September 2nd, 10 am. The tall ship will make its traditional entrance to the harbor, with sailors standing on the rigs showing their sailing abilities, which has earned several times the most spectacular entrance. The Cuauhtemoc, has been the naval training vessel for the Mexican Navy since 1982, with her mission of exalt the sailor spirit of Mexican Navy Officers and bringing a peaceful message and good willing from Mexico to Canada. It is the third time “Cuauhtemoc” is visiting Vancouver, last time in 1997 and is coming from Seattle, Washington, sailing 12,748 Nautical Miles since her departure from Acapulco on April the 9th, 2014. Join us and visit one of the most beautiful ships in the world and the proud of Mexican Navy.
