Various sites/Dog Whisperer dudes say: dont engage your puppy when hes excited or bouncy; you want a calm, tranquil dog. Um, arent puppies supposed to be small, furry explosions of joy for no reason (life lesson here) ALL THE TIME? Dont let them nip and play and jump and show how excited they are to be alive in all their puppiness...and then they are even more excited - because #YOU! And this is what we are supposed to train out of them?!? This is exactly what all of our institutions do to us as kids - tell us our dreams are impractical - that we should be sensible and lose our joy of just being who we were born to be: dreamers, creators, lovers, and happy puppies. Just dont bite anyones toes, and no one will ever complain about the joy and dreams you bring to their lives. True story, bro. Cue Supertramp, Pink Floyd, or Pharell...I aint gonna argue the choice.
