Varsity Wrestling As a team Eastern finished 3rd in the 12 team tourney Saturday behind 5th ranked Hamilton Southeastern and 9th ranked New Palestine. Individual results/highlights were as follows: Evan Ellis was the only Champion with Trevor Pharris finishing 4 - 1 in a runner up effort dropping only 1 match to the States #1 ranked wrestler at 132. Freshman Aren Turner went 4-1 at 120 lbs. in his first varsity tournament. Several other wrestlers turned in strong performances in this large field of competitors. 113 lbs. - Josh Schaeffer -7th place 120 lbs. - Aren Turner - 3rd place, went 4-1, Tanner Reed 6th place 126 lbs. - Austin Duchateau 6th place, Isaac Hanny 7th place 132 lbs. - Trevor Pharris 2nd place 138 lbs. - Corbin Hetzner 4th place - dropping just one tough loss ending the day 4 and 1 145 lbs. - Brett Mullenix 5th place 160 lbs. - Andrew Turner 3rd place - went 4 and 1 170 lbs. - Ben Cole 6th place 182 lbs. - Austen Martinez 4th place - went 4 and 2 195 lbs. - Cameron Wright 7th place 220 lbs. - Evan Ellis 1st place - going undefeated 5 and 0
