Vaughan Garretts Favorite Find of the Month (United - TopicsExpress

Vaughan Garretts Favorite Find of the Month (United States) For October 2014 I selected two awesome finds, therefore TWO WINNERS! WINNER #1 My favorite find for October 2014 is the WWII US Navy Button along with the German WWII medal, found by Thomas H and his son C.J. from Cincinnati, OH. This entry exemplifies father and son teamwork, family heritage, and world history. I chose to simply present the letter as is for all to read, with the exception of the removal of the last name. Thomas and CJ WIN a Garrett AT Gold WINNER #2 My second favorite find for October 2014 is the Silver WWII United States Navy Ring, found and returned by John G. from Anderson, S.C. In Johns words, Ive been detecting for about 1.5 years. I started using the AT Pro and Pro-Pointer about 8 months ago. Im blown away with this detector. One of the coolest & most rewarding things about metal detecting is to actually trace back and return an item. I found an old WWII USN ring a little over a month ago. This ring belonged to the Grandfather of a girl named Heather. One of her children saw the picture on Facebook and realized where I found it. Heathers grandfather built the house where I found it, and he was the only other person to live there other than the current home owners. He was a WWII vet who served our country for many years. This picture is of Heather wearing the ring & holding a picture of her Grandfather. This was an awesome experience & I hope to have many more. Thanks Garrett for making such a great product. John G. WINS a Garrett AT Gold!
