Vehicle: 88 Toyota pickup 4x4 22re 5 speed. Symptoms Ive noticed: when I turn heat on its only warm for a second then cools back down. Radiator fan constantly running, can stop it with my finger. No free play or movement. Screeching sound upon cold start up seems to go away when warm. I can take the radiator cap off when warm doesnt spew or do anything. Things Ive done: checked valve to make sure its open to allow hot coolant into heater core. Flushed heater core. Made sure heater control flaps/doors are opening correctly. Im starting to think it either needs a water pump and/or radiator fan clutch. Anyone whose had this problem before please feel free to chime in thanks.
