About this Petition Every five years, The Gadhimai animal sacrifice festival takes place in Nepal, beginning Nov. 28, 2014. 500,000 animals; buffalos, goats, sheep and birds will be brutally slaughtered to offer sacrifice to the goddess Gadhimai.The death struggle for many animals lasts minutes. Despite the outcry to prevent it, the Nepal government spent $4.5 million on this slaughter in 2009.
