Ven. Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche co-chaired the Panel “Buddhism, Philosophy, Science and Comparative studies” and he delivered his speech on the topic “Scientific Evidence of the Theory and Practice of Buddhist Meditation” in the International Conference of Institute for Mongolian, Buddhist and Tibetan Studies of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences at Ulan-Ude on 29th May 2014. He participated in the discussions: the Roundtable “Buddhism in the West” and the Roundtable “Russian-Mongolian Buddhism Studies: Experience and Prospects” organized by the International Conference of Institute for Mongolian, Buddhist and Tibetan Studies of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences at Baikal on 30th May 2014. In the morning, he attended the worship of the Nagas at Lake Baikal. In the evening, he visited Geshe Jampa Thinley’s meditation center and talked about the Buddhist meditation with the members of the “Green Tara” Buddhist community at Baikal on 31st May 2014.
