Vent Time: Ok, so this dad (Tyler area) is being charged with the death of one of his children and injury to another because they died in a hot car. He laid them down for a nap and an hour later a brother in law found them in the hot car. People are taking his side saying, this was just a terrible accident and kids run the streets of my neighborhood all the time. This was a terrible accident, that could have been prevented. Ive checked on my daughters many times while they are sleeping even now when the youngest is 9 years old!! I peak in and check on the almost 17 year old!! Id never leave a 3 and 4 year old, in a bed asleep for an hour (that was when he laid them down) without checking on them several times!! And people are taking his side, saying poor him? Not to mention they found drug paraphernalia in his house (with the kids in the same house sleeping). But forget that. Is it common practice to let a 3 and 4 year old lay down for a nap without checking on them in an hour? Is this some new rule I wasnt told about? Because I still heck on my kids when they take naps and Im in the same house reading, cleaning, or whatever. If Im in failure of a new rule I dont know about, convict me, because Ill continue to check on my girls. And if I dont, then Ill take responsibility for my actions as this dad is trying to act like a victim with his mother in law and wife standing by his side.
