Vent time: When youve been up since 3:00AM writing a paper thats due for your History of Socialism & Capitalism class after frantically scrambling to meet a deadline at 11:59 PM for a scholarship application (which you missed but thankfully, somehow, it went through...) and have four other papers due, one for your Independent Study (Research oriented; 15-20 pages, due next week), another for Renaissance History (Research oriented; 6-7 pages, another for Comparative Philosophy (Research oriented; 10-12 pages), and another for 16th-Century literature (Research oriented; 8-10 pages), all while also hastily (and ineffectually) trying to prepare for the GRE you are taking this Sunday but have not sufficiently studied for, which you did not think you were going to do this semester but decided to foolishly apply to graduate school in the States at the same time youre taking 18 hours of classes trying to maintain your 4.0 (because if you dont have a 4.0 theres no way youre going to get into any of these grad schools) for which personal statements are needed and youve yet to create (and which you must create first before you can even contact your recommenders about writing letters of recommendation) but need to soon because your first deadline is December 16th, just four days after finals (of which you have five, three of which occur on the same day), you tend to feel a little overwhelmed, jaded, frustrated because in the midst of all this you are also dealing with a part-time job, literacy tutoring, and general hysteria because you are literally losing your mental faculties... But hey, at least I have awesome paper topics?
