Grandfather Mateos house fall the back side but unfortunately he was inside and the house debris fall on him and injured his leg.When he was taken to hospital he was bandaged up to the knee,his house was destroyed on 01-01-2015 in the evening.He have two grand children that he live with,he used to work as a gardener but because he was injured he is no longer going to work.Food had become a problem ,so when Tzu Chi volunteers visited him and provided the aid ,he was very relieved that now he had food to give to his dependence and himself.Some houses had iron sheets which had become an advantage to some people because when their houses were destroyed they used the sheets to maintain new shelters.Plastics had become a building material but we fear that if the rain come back again as bad as this recent one it will be worse. Tzu Chi eco friendly blankets are playing a big role during the night because of their warmth and comfort.Since plastics had became the walls they go along with the weather .When it is hot they became hot and when it is cold they do like wise.The boy in a blue shirt is called Mike he stays with his father who is mentally ill.He berg for food to survive with his father.Mikes father was born normal but this illness started one year ago, when it started with a headache and it grew worse up to the present day. Tzu Chi volunteers gave them the relief aid and the boy was very great full for such great love, even his father showed that he was delighted with the gift of love from Taiwan.
