Venue: Ushewokunze,date 28-11-2014,time 9:00 am-3:00 pm. Education is one of Master Cheng Yen mission.In Tzu Chi we believe children are our future so they must be taught while they are still young.Early this year sister Lydia from Ushewokunze discussed with brother Chu about the children who could not go to school because the school are too far and the distance is almost 5 km.Brother Chu was touched and he knew he must do something for the tomorrows presidents.When he thought of it the first problem was a place where the children might be.Sister Lydia decided to share her place with the children.So, in August the E.C.D was opened at her place. Volunteers were very happy and divided themselves,when others are doing massaging and home visits some will be cooking for the children.A teacher was needed for the best education to the children and she was found and was also willing to work with the children regardless of the condition. Every school day Tzu Chi provides food which is vegetarian food, and the children loves it.The children are eager to learn although they do not have a proper shelter to learn in.The children now can sing Tzu Chi dinning song and whenever they receive something they say amitofo.The number is increasing and now the children are 54 and 19 graduated ,next year they go to grade one.On this graduation day volunteers papered vegetarian food for the parents.They taught them why vegetarian food is important in terms of health and that killing is not good and every living being have the right to live enhancing harmony to all that resides on mother Earth.The parents were very moved when they lent their children were being guided in wisdom.Children recited poems to thank their parents and also one recited a poem about the four mission of Tzu Chi.The respect which the children now have shocked the parents ,they came to realize that all is the work of Master Cheng Yen for her wisdom to send brother Chu to Zimbabwe.At the school he is a brother to volunteers and grandfather to the children who respect and love him .Whenever he goes there they do not want to be part with him,so at this day he was taken a group photo with them to say goodbye.
