Version française dans une autre publication: THE VILLAGE OF CASSELMAN AND ITS FIRE DEPARTMENT WANT TO REMIND YOU SOME BY-LAWS AND SAFETY PROCEDURES; OPEN AIR FIRES The Village of Casselman’s by-law number 2007-211 regulates open air fires within the village limits. Only fires that are contained within an approved prefabricated outdoor fireplace are permitted. These outdoor fireplaces must meet the following requirements: - they cannot be used on a balcony or on any combustible surface; -they must be installed at least 3 metres (9 feet 10 inches) from any structure and property lines; -outdoor fireplaces shall not be used when the weather conditions may cause smoke to remain low and disturb neighbours.
