Very Distinguished Leo’s, With total humility, I feel honoured by Makurdi Leo Club and Leo’s of region 8 (Makurdi & Abuja) for nominating me for the position of the 2nd Vice District President for 2014 – 2015 service year of our great District. With many years in service to humanity of our great organization, I have learnt, contributed and participated in many service activities within my Club, Region and District I have also worked with diligence and sincerity with my fellow Leo’s at all levels and in various capacity for the upliftment of our organization. Our organization, I believe need to be repositioned for flawless and greater service to the society, the future and the comfort of our people; we shall together build an organization that will give priority to the following: campaign against road mishaps and erection of signpost, quality membership increment and retention, Capacity building of our members through institutionalized trainings and knowledge exchange thereby breeding better Leo leaders, Ensuring that ambiguous and unrealistic projects and programs are not embarked upon, Making sure that our programs are rich in content, adding value to all participants and justifying money paid for registration for such programs, Encourage the registration of all Leo Clubs with the state youth council of host states, Liaise and work with other national selfless service organizations focusing on assisting poor children, Ensure that all our members enjoy a robust welfare package, life touching projects and rekindling of the Leo – Lion relationship. My dear friends, I decided to run for this office, motivated by a single, simple, powerful idea - that I might play a part in building a better district for us all. Thats why Im in this race! Not just to hold an office, but to work with you to transform our organization for greater impact to the community. I want to win that next battle - for growth and advancement. I want to win that next battle - for better programs. I want to win that next battle - for better projects, and better publicity for what we do. I want us to take up the unfinished business of perfecting our association, and building a better Leo district 404A-2 Nigeria. And if you will join me in this “seemingly improbable quest”, if you feel destiny calling, and see as I see, a future of endless possibility stretching before us; if you sense, as I sense, that the time is now to shake off our slumber, and slough off our fear, and make good on the debt we owe past and future generations, then Im ready to take up the cause, and march with you, and work with you. Together, starting today, let us finish the work that needs to be done, and usher in a new birth of development for our noble cause.
